Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Redgrave, we affirmatively foster and value differences.  Courtrooms, boardrooms, and law firms are made up of people from all backgrounds, and our strength lies in the recognition that each of us brings a distinct and valuable perspective.  Each person is unique and cannot be duplicated.  We cultivate inclusivity and demand equity so all our people know they belong.

“As a majority women-managed law firm, we take great pride in the diversity of our team members and our overall community.  We celebrate inclusion and believe that the quality of our service is continually enhanced by the diverse background in our workplace.”

Victoria A. Redgrave, Managing Partner

We embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do, both collectively as a law firm and individually as professionals.  Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee was created to support the Firm's DEI mission and goals, which are continually evolving as we critically assess, more than ever, the effectiveness of various DEI initiatives.  As part of this assessment, we are working to identify and eliminate the blockers to achieving DEI at the systemic level instead of simply mitigating the impact of systemic gaps that create inequity or lack of diversity. We aim to recruit, retain, and promote a diverse group of professionals.  We are keenly aware that our team members' varied perspectives and contributions make us stronger together.  Our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts align with three core areas of focus: Talent, Culture, and Community.

  • Talent

We know that success begins with valuing the unique contributions of each individual, stemming from their own distinct cultures, experiences, and ways of thinking.

We are deeply committed to maintaining a diverse talent pool and ensuring and continually enhancing equity and inclusion in the workplace.  Most recently, the Firm committed to the 2024-2025 Mansfield Certification process, which highlights our efforts to drive inclusive talent practices at Redgrave.  This commitment is rooted in awareness and obligation: an awareness that varied backgrounds and perspectives generate more incisive and deeper insights that better serve our clients, and an obligation to foster our employees’ sense of belonging and eliminate barriers that create unfair advantages.
  • Culture

We strive to maintain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company culture, where each individual feels a sense of belonging and is free to be their authentic self.

To that end, we prioritize DEI initiatives that foster individual growth and performance, which is critical to achieving collective success and superior business results, as well as delivering high-value and quality service to our clients.  It is also critical to honoring our commitment to the firm’s core values, which include excellence, integrity, sustainability, perspective in all things, and respect and collegiality.

  • Community

Our efforts focus on supporting our team members' diversity and promoting and advancing DEI initiatives in our community.

We are firmly committed to doing our part to end systemic and structural discrimination in the legal profession and to actively provide our time, resources, legal services, and finances to empower disenfranchised and underserved communities.
